‘Saturday Night Live’ Takes On ‘Morning Joe,’ Scarborough And Brzezinski’s Sexual Tension

In the cold open of the May 6th broadcast, NBC's Saturday Night Live took on its own network property, MSNBC morning political talk show Morning Joe. "If you are listening to loud classic rock followed by the most casual of political conversations, it must be Morning Joe," Kate McKinnon's Mika Brzezinski opened the segment. Alex Moffat's Joe Scarborough used couple nicknames like "Mika mouse" and "Mika boo" throughout the segment to refer to his fiance and Morning Joe while panel regulars expressed how uncomfortable they were by the closeness of the hosts. (Panelists included Mike Barnicle, Mark Halperin and Willie Geist.) Donald Trump, who has tweeted before about their then non-public relationship, was brought into the sketch by Alec Baldwin voicing "John Miller," a PR man for then-real estate mogul that many believed was Trump himself. "We're going to address the elephant in the room," the duo said at the end of the segment. The big reveal: "Live from New York, it's Saturday Night!" Some day, when things calm down, I'll tell the real story of @JoeNBC and his very insecure long-time girlfriend, @morningmika. Two clowns!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 22, 2016

SNL’s Trump Does Townhall, Dodges Questions: “You People Stand By Me No Matter What”

Alec Baldwin reprises his role as President Donald Trump on this week's edition of Saturday Night Live to take questions from supporters in Kentucky. "See, that's why I came here. You people stand by me no matter what. It's like you found a finger in your chili, but you still eat the chili because you told everyone how much you love chili. It's tremendous," Baldwin's Trump said after a supporter said they are behind him no matter what.
