Huckabee: Trump “Condemned” Charlottesville Killer, “What Else Is He Supposed To Do?”

In an interview with Jeanine Pirro Saturday night on FOX News, Mike Huckabee talked about "Trump haters" looking for any reason to "dump on" him. Huckabee was reacting to the speech the president delivered on the Charlottesville killer. Huckabee also criticized former President Obama in his defense of Trump's Saturday statement. "So what is he supposed to say? Is he supposed to do what Barack Obama used to do and jump to conclusions?" Huckabe asked. From his FOX News appearance: MIKE HUCKABEE: Well, it seems like a lot of them are. I don't know what they expect the president to do. At the time he made the comment, the driver of the car had not even been identified… So what is he supposed to say? Is he supposed to do what Barack Obama used to do and jump to conclusions and make a decision like he did in Ferguson, which turned out to be totally untrue? The president has to be careful in taking steps. I thought what he condemned was what we all could immediately condemn and that was the violence… some coward in a car drove into innocent people to try and kill them. And he condemned that. What else is he supposed to do? Trump tweets on the driver that plowed through anti-racist demonstrators: We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 12, 2017
Am in Bedminster for meetings & press conference on V.A. & all that we have done, and are doing, to make it better-but Charlottesville sad!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) August 12, 2017

Dershowitz on Trump/Russia Investigation: Stop Accusing People Of Crimes When There Is No Evidence Of Crimes

Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz appeared on Saturday's edition of 'Justice with Judge Jeanine' on the FOX News Channel to defend President Trump's son, Donald Jr., from accusations of treason that have been levied against him by elected Democrats and media figures, over a 2016 meeting with an alleged Russian government attorney. The attorney denies direct ties to the Kremlin, but Dershowitz says that is besides the point: "A candidate has the right to get information from whatever source the information comes,†he argued. "If the material was obtained unlawfully, you prosecute, if you can, the people who obtain the material. But there is a First Amendment right of a candidate to use information." He also took issue with another argument being widely made, that giving information could be constured as a campaign contribution. Dershowitz says no: "You can't include information under the campaign finance law. That would be unconstitutional."

And you see that. He's getting a warmer reception. In fact, they probably like that radical Islam stuff. I don't think they mind — MSNBC was going crazy, 'They'll be so upset by the Muslim ban.' Well, no. Saudi Arabia bans Christians. What do they care? They understand the idea of soverign nations."
